Do you have what it takes to train others to shoot?
 
 NRA Certified Instructor Training is available at
Centerfire Training.

If you have shooting and training experience you may meet
 the requirements to be a NRA Instructor.
You must be knowlegeable about the types of firearms you are teaching.
You must demonstrate the proper safe handling of firearms.
There is a shooting qualification and written test to become an instructor.

Basic Instructor Training is required with your first NRA Instructor rating. This course deals with the NRA training guidelines and teaching princepals. B.I.T. is a 6 hour classroom session with a written test.
NRA Rifle, Pistol or Shotgun Instructor is a  classroom and range course designed to give you the knowledge, skills and attitude nessecary to teach a basic shooting class. Each instructor candidate will teach parts of the basic shooting class  and give demonstrations. There is a written open book test at the end of the course. There is a minimum score required on the written and shooting evaluation.
NRA Personal Protection in the Home Instructor is a  classroom and range course designed to give you the knowledge, skills and attitude nessecary to teach this home defense type class. Each instructor candidate will teach parts of the class,  and give demonstrations. There is a written open book test at the end of the course. There is a minimum score required on the written test and the shooting evaluation.
NRA Personal Protection Outside the Home is a  classroom and range course designed to give you the knowledge, skills and attitude nessecary to teach  the NRA concealed carry style class. Each instructor candidate will teach parts of the  class  and give demonstrations. There is a written open book test at the end of the course. There is a minimum score required on the written  evaluation. This course must be taken as a student and passed at the advanced level before becoming an instructor.

All Instructors must shoot a qualification with a fiream in each discipline they plan to instruct. Instructors are expected to be familar with all action types in the dicipline.
